Been there, done that, going back! That pretty much sums it up. In fact, when I saw that phrase on a magnetic bumper sticker at Pop Century last year I knew I had to have it. It has been on my fridge all year and now resides on my van in anticipation of our trip next week. Okay, so I'm obsessed with Disney World. I'll admit it. However, I'm not alone. My kids are obsessed. I have friends who are obsessed. There are probably hundreds of thousands, if not more, of Disney-obsessed people just like me who can't seem to get enough of the mouse!
But what does Disney World really mean to me? It's really not just a fun place to go. It's something our family does together that every one of us enjoys. It's the look on my kids face when we first see Cinderella's castle. It's the feeling in your stomach when a character hugs your child and your child feels like they know them personally. It's those goofy jokes on the jungle cruise that makes everyone roll their eyes. It's the family singing "Laughing Place" while we are riding Splash Mountain. It's the parades, the fireworks, the magic that you just can't experience anywhere else like you do at Disney World and we do it all together as a family.
One day my kids will probably outgrow Disney World at least temporarily (read: when they are teenagers). But for now, I will enjoy these precious Disney moments with them. I will enjoy still being able to hold their hands as we stroll down Main Street and soak in the Disney magic.
