I have mixed emotions. I am both amazed and disappointed at the same time. The mystery of Space Mountain was revealed to me while in line with my son. Yes, they turned on the lights to inspect the tracks. Of course, I had to take some pictures.
I've been riding Space Mountain since I was close to my son's age. He saw it with the lights on for the first time five years ago right before his first ride. He's almost eleven and he has seen it twice!? Is he lucky or do they just turn the lights on a lot?
It doesn't really look like much of a ride when you see it exposed. Good thing it still feels like one!
